    I liken Arrium paying off some debt to the following scenario,

    Let's say I'm a real ugly bastard, and my nose is 12 inches long so I go to a plastic surgeon for a quote on reducing the length.
    He gives me a price of $1000 per inch. Unfortunately I only had $5000 so I had my nose reduced by 6 inches.
    After a few weeks I take the bandages off too show my wife who is waiting in great anticipation, tears start streaming from her eyes as she mutters "You're still an ugly bastard!".
