I think that Tesla would be the perfect partner. To begin with, they are already PLL’s offtake client. Instead of shipping the spodumene to the US East Coast, it will go roughly one extra day to Houston, which is close to the new Tesla LiOH plant.
With PLL in some financial trouble and selling a significant chunk of their A11 shares recently, anyway, Tesla could pay PLL a small price to transfer their OTS rights to Tesla, who will clearly not have a problem coming up with their share of CAPEX.
Just a thought.
