I believe the assessment period was completed some time ago and I no longer believe its now a question of "if" but rather "when" and "how many".

I also believe Chairman, Mr Milne made this quite clear in his recent announcement...

"Recently appointed pieNETWORKS chairman Justin Milne said the success of the trial, and the commencement of commercial negotiations with Telstra, was a significant event in the company’s development.

I would hope and expect in the best interests of all investors during a "significant event" in any company's development, that the most appropriate person is appointed for each role. I have no doubt, especially after the excellent achievements made to date, Mr Smith would also want it no other way.

Imho, a Senior Ex-Executive Director of Telstra is the appropriate person to take on this next major phase for pieNETWORKS moving foward.

I find it difficult to see any negative in this afternoon's announcement?
