    The Kirby's and Burke haven't played this to badly.

    The instos wanted out due to things like the salaries and failed expansions circa 2006. So the Directors proposed a buyback around 80c - $1.

    The price rose for a while but then slumped to 60c in the GFC.

    Again directors come back to try to buy out minorities but are thwarted by Bankers not providing finance.

    Seems best time to buy is when Kirbys/Burke are buying. Not rocket science - they know the business like the back of their hand.
