I love your phrase - "lousy 200k" - sounds like something that falls under the cushions of the couch. 200k is nearly 4 times the average Australians wage. The reality is that Paul Poli isn't going anywhere regardless of increase or not (If iit wasn't for his controlling stake he'd still be an accountant -so I'm fairly certain he won't be on BHP's shortlist). Ergo, why would you pay him more?
