$2 per share would not happen from here. You could buy the whole company on market up to $1 probably, esp given the last 6mths or so.
to answer your question @gregwri1 - you don't often see takeover with a premium more than ~40%. Common to see 25-50% range of premium to a recent VWAP.
Can't recall ever seeing 100%+
