10:50am: Resources writer Peter Ker writes that another row of battle lines has been drawn in Australia's iron ore industry, with two juniors this morning announcing they will work together on any transport solution that gets their product into the market.
Brockman Mining this morning announced its second alliance in as many days, declaring that it will work with fellow Pilbara junior Flinders Mines on a plan that can viably bring both companies' iron ore into production, and then to port for export.
On Wednesday Brockman announced a deal with Aurizon that will ensure the Queensland-based transport company will provide its rail solutions, no matter what option Brockman eventually chooses for its iron ore.
The two deals effectively create a faction between the three companies in the growing battle over transport infrastructure in the Pilbara - a place where transport solutions are much scarcer and more valuable than the iron ore they carry.
