    I probably should have worded it more accuratly by saying that upregulation of FTO in not involved in bladder cancer. It appears in bladder cancer that FTO is typically down regulated (i.e. less FTO is produced in the cancer). If we were to try to treat bladder cancer with bisantrene it would likely do nothing or maybe make things worse.

    Each cancer type is different, some have more FTO and some have less. Bisantrene can potentially be used to treat those cancers with too much FTO, but it is not going to help with those cancers that have too little. For that you would need a different drug.
