One clarification on FTO.
FTO isn't a new discovery.
FTO's role in obesity has been known for about 10 years.
Its role in cancers has been known since about 5 years ago, with additional cancer types still being added today.
Since 5 years ago researchers have been looking for FTO inhibitors, and they have found some.
But it wasn't until June 2020 that City of Hope publicly identified bisantrene as being the most potent FTO inhibitor out of the 260,000 drugs they had screened.

I've asked two doctors if they had heard of FTO.
A gynacologist said no.
A skin cancer GP said it rang a bell, but he didn't know which bell. (So I told him about RAC's melanoma preclinical.)
It's going to be much easier to sell cardioprotection than FTO inhibition.
