Just thinking about all the applications of FTO. It lead me to an idea about neonatal FTO expression. If FTO is regulated during pregnancy would this translate to better regulation of FTO by the offspring? Seems that there is some interesting research, potential preventive in FTO overexpression and cancer.
there was some studies showing FTO fluctuates earlier in life and sets the benchmark for adulthood. Also we know that as cancer advances the FTO expression increases.
