If the drug shows anti cancer protection only, that’s a huge benefit to patients and clinicians for the cancer the drug works against.
However, if the drug has cardioprotection properties as well and synergises with other drugs, that potentially means zantrene can be added to every cancer drug that causes heart issues. If that’s the case the market opportunity is huge, as it would reset the patent clock on many drugs and many different cancers.
