    as well as that, a lot of the dosage didn't cause an FTO inhibition effect(bar the AML phases that were given over consecutive days, which as @Mason14 pointed out may have shown FTO inhibition circumstantially).

    they were mainly dosed as a chemo drug ie once every few weeks, so not enough to inhibit FTO, otherwise we would've seen(if preclinical for FTO and cancer is correct) much better results in the historic trials. So ultimately, we still don't know what negative effect FTO has on the body. @Mason14 is right, any treatment may have negative effects, it just depends on how bad they are. FTO inhibition does have some play in neurological and metabolic function.
