Based on the molecular data we have available, we know that Bisantrene has the properties to cross the blood brain barrier (<400 Da molecular weight and <8 hydrogen atoms).

FTO erexpression linked with alcohol use disorders (AUD) and alcohol consumption as well as common and specific reward pathways for food and alcohol. This is independent of BMI, which basically means that you do not have to be overweight to have this increased FTO expression and negatively impacted neurology (1).



FTO regulating the D2R-dependent pathways in the brain has also been linked with drug abuse (2).
