Yeah, the complexity and breadth of the research can be a bit overwhelming at times - it's at those times that I follow the lead of the professionals in this space - JianJun Chen, in this instance. I trust that there would have been a reason to use the NCI DTP compound library over other sources. Slightly encouraging that Bisantrene is 10- and 203- fold more potent at inhibiting FTO than two of the best molecules found in a library of 727k molecules...

Hahaha. I love that! I enjoyed your post and the effort that went into researching it - I think that any inquiry into the science of why this will or won't work will benefit all shareholders. It's important to understand exactly where we stand. Any new information that comes to light has to be put into context of what is already known. While I have tried, I can't say that I know every opportunity or risk there is for a potent FTO inhibitor, although what I think I have done is provided the context by which new research can be compared and measured to. If you ask my partner, I was spurred on by my crazy, obsessive nature (haha), but there was also a fascination with the science and learning, and a drive to want to understand exactly what we hold.
