Thanks for your replies @RaceOncology. I understand now that the chemotherapeutic and FTO avenues can both be pursued in parallel without contradiction, which was something I was struggling to reconcile before with all of this new information presenting itself. And it makes perfect sense to start with what we know works historically and build from there.

I'm guessing chemotherapeutic and FTO aspects of Bisantrene may still end up merging down the track as being one and the same, or they may remain separate applications depending on the indication being treated and severity of disease etc., based on the data that will come out of the trials (and with so many possibilities continue to come well into the future I expect).

All we need now is some patience (and patients)!
