Although I like what Zo Li has to say, his numbers are way out.
42,500,000,000 Litres of brine is expected to produce 50,000,000kgs of Lithium carbonate (Company's own numbers)
That assumes an entire process operating at 83% efficiency, and starting at 250ppm.
So 1kg of Lithium Carbonate requires 850 Litres of Brine.
1000L of 30,000ppm concentrate should produce 24kgs of Lithium Carbonate = 24*850 L of brine = 20,400L Brine
Zo Li forgot that the original lithium in the brine is (mg/L) lithium, however the concentrate is Lithium Chloride (LiCl) which has a molar mass of 42.4. Molar Mass lithium is 6.9. So the ratio Li/LiCl = 6.9/42.4 = 19%. That is the source of the discrepancy
