the variables are :
distance from markets
roads, steepness and access (falling, loading,transport)
cubic metres of timber on the block...there are ways to sample sections of the block, growth rates will vary over 40 hectares)
percentages of sawlogs,posts and pulp
the sums can be done on the above basis
the latest prices I have seen have been $27 sawlogs,$20 posts and $16 pulp at delivery point
these vary from day to day, mill to mill
when marketing ensure transparency
commissions, ecology and the immediate future of the land should come into the equation
