I suggest that you do some research about the 120 year history of the NZ Todd Family, its bloodline control of the company of approx. 200 direct descendants of Charles Todd and the family's determination to keep its affairs private.
This family has an ethos of keeping the business in the family for generations to come.
In 2015 Todd Energy provided 35% of gas and 25% of oil production in NZ.
The loss of these cash cows to any business would be troublesome.
I repeat that I believe that TIO need our PIOP iron ore even more than I had previously thought.
