FLC is behaving just like a lot of small caps. The price jumps on a positive announcement and slides away when there's a period of no news. Why would anyone think along conspiracy lines? Henry was so keen to announce the Ivory Coast finance deal, he didn’t wait for the documentation to be executed. No one can say they are withholding good news to keep the price down.Nor can anyone explain rationally why board and management would even want to keep the price down. There are even incemtives for executives for options when the SP rises to $X.
Look at PET, SP was $1.50 in August and it has slithered down the slippery slope to 84c.Holders on HC are also talking about manipulation and conspiracies, but are not aiming it on board and management like some on this thread.
It’s common on many small caps while they are building up a business for such fluctuations, and will be fixed when blind freddy can see profits in the bank as well as an upstream of business in the pipeline which could be another 12 months.
Even the downramper conspiracy theorists must believe that’s going to happen, why else would they still hold shares. As for reading conspiracy into the tea leaves because one chief showed his phone screen on a nod and a wink to another chief, for heavens sake, they might have been showing each other photos of their kids for all we know.
I have seen nothing that would indicate a conspiracy to want to take to company private nor do I understand who would want to.Ron Lauder? Richard Irving? Why? To quote @stockrock in post 43216332:
“I am prettysure Ron got what he wanted when the merger went through .. that was theopportune time for negotiations to happen behind closed doors and deals struckand structures put in place to give those in power exactly what they wanted. There was and is no need to play games on the open market.. too many risks andbillionaires don't become who they are by taking those types of risks.
It also makes no sense that Ron would put in US$20m at 85cents per shares on merger, to only manipulate the market with his mates to geta lower average price... he could easily have argued to have injected thatcapital at a discount.. rather than at near market prices.”This conspiracy theory is just a delusional idea in the mind of some posters here who want to ascribe blame for share market fluctuations they don’t like.
