    But there is always a market for potable / drinkable water... identifying the low hanging fruit is what Fluence have tried to do. That is, low-hanging fruit is where there is not only a need for potable/drinkable water.. but there is also an entity that is willing to, and more importantly able to pay for it.

    China is the obvious target for Fluence, and whilst it is still early days... the rubber has already hit the road and it is a matter of maintaining momentum and not worrying about when or if it will take off. There is a government initiative that requires a certain % of rural waste water to be treated... there is a need and well funded local governments that have money to invest in new technology.

    There is a similar govt initiative happening in desalination in Brazil and Egypt ... Fluence are there. Wherever Fluence is deployed, they have done their research and have decided that there is low hanging fruit for them to pick. It just takes time.

    You pointed out Yass as an example, and IMO that is definitely not low hanging fruit. But there is a market in Australia that I would consider in the low-hanging fruit category.. and that is similar to what they are doing in Sth America with the Lithium mining industry... corporates have money to fund these technologies, and Fluence are targeting that market in a very low capital intensive way, effectively outsourcing the marketing and distribution to Aquatech Maxcon. Margins are likely to be lower, but Fluence are represented to some extent (the extent of investment is by Fluence is going to be relative to the upside potential they see in that market).
