Good faith is an implied expectation of every legal contract whether explicitly stated or not. However, there is no objective definition of what good faith means and in any contract you'll have to go through the courts to find out whether your interpretation is right or not.
No way around the fact that the Acadia agreement is a significant complicating factor for Neuren.
That said, it will be in Acadias interests to work out an amicable arrangement. But a deal being done without Acadia involved and being a significant beneficiary is pretty unlikely you'd have to think. They have a fidiciary duty to their shareholders to make sure of that.
Thats why it seems to me a curious coincidence that both Acadia and Neuren are currently showing significant share price drops despite what has been unquestionably good news for both companies.
