    I also came across this article recently. Naomi Hogan comes across as quite glib in her media statements, however rarely places a link for others to access to check on her statements. In the statement made at the NT Labor Conference, at no time did it state that "the Labor Government would support there being no fracked gas allowed along this pipeline.”
    What it did state was:
    "Territory Labor recognises the importance of and the community concern about hydraulic
    fracturing or 'fracking' for gas from shale and tight formations. Territory Labor will
    guarantee that any activity taken relating to the shale gas industry in the Northern Territory​
    will be both environmentally and financially sustainable for local communities."
