The report did not say whether it's phase 2 or phase 3 but since it's "pivotal" so I guess it's Phase 3?
Also I checked Cynata's past announcements and did not find any mention of Phase2 trials so are they going to Phase3 straight from Phase1?
Also, Cynata's trial is Australia only, and the report did not say if this "pivotal trial" will lead to FDA approval globally.
The trial is not a marketing approval trial, it is a "scientific trial" ie to seek evidence in support of the science. Cynata's project is about its stem cell platform for treatment for various diseases/illnesses, OA just happens to be one indication they are trialing it on.
