pistorius bail decision

Bail granted.

Oscar Pistorius has had his charge maintained as a schedule 6 - premeditated murder.

"The state met the threshold for a charge of premeditated murder, he says. But Nair says he is not here to decide guilt – that's for the trial judge, he says."

Bail under section 6 is supposed to requires exceptional circumstances but the magistrate didn't think he was a risk of fleeing or would be a danger to the public. Didn't think he would interfere with witnesses.

Defense has done a good job so far.

Will not go down well with the black community.
