broad timelines for most SA mining projects would be:
BFS, 12 to 18 months depending on geologist CPR
Mining rights application, c/w EMPR 9 months prep and 12 months after submission to issuing.
A major size mine with washing plant of around 200kt per month will be 18 to 24 months depending on component/equipment lead times.
One unit (300-400Mw) of a power station will take, at quickest, 2.5 years.
