That was a lovely description of the chart and 'how' the possible trades pan out.
I'm bookmarking it to keep referring to, as the horizontal 'bollys' certainly are part of the indicator, which I hadn't really looked at before.
Your example 2 is a Kathy Lien special trade called the 'mo mo' trade.
Momentum.
When the candle (though this is using 3 deviation bollinger bands for overbought, oversold on a 5 minute chart) smashes through the bollinger band by more than 10 pips, it signals momentum to keep going in that direction, which is clearly shown in your chart example - a great indicator to have gone short!
Thanks to all, I'm learning something every day as a realative newbie to FX.
Now I need to harness the Monday gaps!!
Out of interest, does anyone believe the Dow can keep this little bull run going, or is it doomed to collapse shortly?
Opinions appreciated.
