I have to agree with babydoc with more overseas potential than domestic, currently traveling all over the place at the moment. I often go Starbucks overseas because the alternative chains are horrendous. There’s always one or two competitors in a country against Starbucks (Italian coffee co around Mexico, Costa in the UK) but Gloria Jeans would easily win out on a lot of weaker chains.

In Sydney I don’t rate Gloria unless you want the fancy sugar chocolate drinks, same reason I sometimes go Starbucks over there. There’s simply too much insanely good coffee to choose from. Everywhere likes good coffee, they just don’t have the option so whatever options are available seem like ‘good’ coffee.

Whether management see this potential and execute is another story altogether, I’m currently in this because it represents good value at these prices, if something surprising with growth happens that would be a nice addition but who knows.
