Here is a question. If you think RFG is peak earnings and has diminishing fundamentals. Why wouldn't you short it? In my mind to profit on a short you would need the following,
- A broad market sell off - A downgrade (which is what your implying) - No growth indicated in the US - No inorganic growth
The flip-side of these variables would be a very positive catalyst to re-rate the stock upward. This doesn't account for a non-core divestment or on market takeover. Both I consider to be not improbale outcomes. I personally would be very cautious of shorting RFG. Again I might be wrong. I dont think I am though..
