PKT don't make a lot of announcements, but when they do.... This one was well overdue. So late in fact, it was after market close. But still very welcome news. At least 10% of PKT is now owned by a Japanese "natural resource development and investment company" with a market cap about 3 times larger than PKT. IB Daiwa have paid a premium price for 50 million shares and they get to put a director on the board.
They would have been well briefed on the history, potential and risks of Lake Surprise and then they decided to invest $3.75M.
This ann will spark some life into my dull PKT shares. Well done to those people who have bought in at these recent low prices. The SP will move up tomorrow, but by how much, who knows? Just to add the cream on the cake, a good announcenent on the long overdue Lake Surprise assays would make IB Daiwa's 7.5 cents per share look a real bargain. I'm in for the long haul.
