During the Scamdemic while in the Philippines I had Macquarie Bank restrict (their words but it means no access to your funds) my account effectively leaving me without any means. I had been ordered Gestapo style to reverify an account I have had with them for over a decade. They declined to accept (which they asked for) a selfie with my passport beside my face. In the middle of the Scamdemic I had to make an appointment with a local attorney and provide them with a certified true copy of passport, etc. I then had to get a registered letter off to Australia. If I sound personally bitter about the treatment meted out to rank and file honest citizens then so be it.
