Interesting article coming out of the Australian tonight -
"Casino Group Star Entertainment was leaderless and susceptible to criminal exploitation as it lagged more than a year behind remediation efforts"
I don't think Star is going to lose its Sydney licence.IMO Being "susceptible" - that's hear say in legal terms and a generalization and slow implementation of new regulations by Cooke ( dealt harshly as he steered Star through re- financing/ Multiplex / QW -and his too slow according to the Regulators so Star should lose its licence . .At the end of the first enquiry,Star was given 2 weeks to provide to the Regulator why they shouldn't lose their licence .Star Management know's the importance of appointing a CEO and with Steve McCann already mentioned by the press recently and with employment opportunities in Sydney on the recent Star site ( last week) ,it bodes well .
And the comment from the Enquiry. "susceptible to criminal exploitation " is such a generalization as what Casino in the world is not vulnerable to criminal activities. (as Crown wells knows ).Sydney can be a challenge too with the amount of Cocaine washing up on the Sydney Beaches
