Why cant everybody just see the whole thing for what it is - marketing amargedon.

a) Telstra was always going to end up irrelevant on a retail level.

b) Hard wired services as we know them were going to be phased out eventually.

c) Socio-economic factors such as ageing population & increased mobility of modern work force were going to both see teh ceasation of traditional fixed line revenues and create a marketing environment where wireless was commoditised - thus very very very cheap.

d) The MSCI index of real cost of telecommunications is still on a steady decline that commenced in 1984 and never recovered.

In short any financial adviser or investment analyst that says TLS is a buy or long term hold is a complete and utter hill billy and probably practises in Adelaide & is 50 years old.
