Energy Ventures to raise A$3.77m for New Investment Opportunities
Energy Ventures confirms it has agreed to a placement to exempt investors of 27.9m ordinary shares at 13.5 cents each
to raise A$3.77m. This placement will provide the company with the capital to pursue the new investment and acquisition
opportunities that it is developing. This exempt placement will be made to institutional and sophisticated investors and
will be made under Energy Ventures 15% capacity which currently is fully available with respect to Listing Rule 7.1.
The funds raised from this placement will enable Energy Ventures to actively pursue new investment opportunities. The
company is currently targeting a number of opportunities in the energy sector that will compliment its existing investment
portfolio. The proceeds from this placement will not be required to fund the ongoing operations of African Energy
Resources, which has recently completed its own capital raising and is now fully funded for its 2007 exploration
programme. Energy Ventures now holds a 79% interest in African Energy Resources.
Participants in this offer included institutional and sophisticated investors of Stripe Capital (Corporate Authorised
Representative of Australian Stockbroking & Advisory Services) and Transocean Securities Pty Ltd.
