Consolidation is a slight of hand, feel good change but it is rarely beneficial. The new sp falls so the real total value of a shareholders shares falls below what it was before consolidation. I would need to see where it would benefit smaller shareholders. Claimed benefit is that it reduces share registry costs and removes penny dreadfull status. In reality do rating agencies bother with this? The real problem is Beaconfield's lack of vision and real dollars and cents profitable plans for the future beyond siffting through old taillings and wondering about the worth of tenements in Victoria.
