That sucks Virgil - I know the feeling all too well.
The more money you have at your disposal, the greater (less risky) the opportunities. It's just how it works. Finance markets are geared to take money off retail investors, and create money for institutions and the very wealthy.
I know this wont help you, but I'm pretty sure in the longer term 30c will look like a reasonable price to have got in at.
