johnmcconks - 'the next door man' Having been in and out of MMN (fully or partly) over a good deal of years I have no problem declaring my interest. I had a holding of somewhere between 200K-300K MMN. Have now sold practically all of those. Was also holding 300-400K MMNO’s. Bought them at a single digit sub 10c and sold the last lot of these @ 17c. What are they now - around 14c? Yes I made a neat profit, what’s wrong with that.

Having attended the MacMin meetings and Uncle Bob’s and Denis’ presentations at seminars etc. over the years, I have seen the action of the executives first hand and also formed an opinion about their abilities as business managers.
    Geologist – fine.
Miners and business managers, well my view on that should be obvious.

One of the reasons for posting here is simple – the 'surveillance team' at MacMin read this HC stuff.
I know this for a fact. At a mining seminar Uncle Bob was handing out copies of one of my HC post!
Name and all. Yep, it was a positive one for MMN – a balanced view as always.

And you, johnmcconks, have been a solid defender of Uncle Bob since your ‘next door’ days in PNG (perhaps the poster is the man himself?) so you are hardly unbiased, but we all know that and make allowances accordingly.

I also have a long memory with regards to the way the financial and business matters of MacMin has been managed over the years since the Bank West ‘loan affair’ that nearly drove the company to the brink of insolvency. The Hartley Poynton 5.5c capital raising scandal, which saw long term MMN holders shafted by your leader in favour of the mates of HP.
Mind you the MMN insiders did get their slice of the action, some of which they have since be dumping at the market driving the price of MMN down.
Oh, while I remember do you recall the days when the company was pumping heaps of dollars into some fancy the mine clean-up technology business – what a waste of shareholders funds that was.

johnmcconks ; “what was it that Bob did to you to be so bitter.??”
Bitter – no not at all John. I have done very well from MMN by trading the stuff, but all shareholders could have been far better off if this company had a professional, business focused independent chairman and some independent directors on the board. As it is atm it is a closed shop run like a family company.

Do yourself a favour John, read up about good Corporate Governance and then do a check list against MMN and see how they go. You may just be in for a surprise if you don’t already now know the answer.

Now these question to you johnmcconks.
Why do you have a problem seeing what is on the other side of the coin?
Is it that hard for you to accept that others may have a different opinion?
You may not be a chartist (nor am I), but you do know what is up and what is down – right?

johnmcconks: “Also why wish the price down?”
At no point have I expressed a wish for the price to go down.
I have given what I believe is a realistic outlook.
Also I am not a member of any MMN cheer squad so I feel free to do so!

johnmcconks: “Do you hold ? i dont think so, so why bother posting?? “
Atm very little. Just enough to get a copy of the annual report and some bikkies at the next AGM <:)
Ah, so you are only allowed to post if you have something positive to say and are a shareholder of substance.
Living in fools paradise – are we John??

Wishing you and other MacMiners well.
I am interested in Silver and therefore I am also interested in MacMin, but only at the right price.
My other silver interest is ‘lying on the floor’ in Perth Mint.

OT - John, to cheer you up perhaps you should have a good look at this one - SHN.
Pull up the daily chart and what do you see?
I bought on the open @ 6.4. I think there may be more in this run. I’m still hanging in there, but like with MMN saying your goodbyes is only a keystroke away.

As always you must do your own DD – lots of DD. And while you are at it why not get an unbiased analyst to have a good look at MMN - LOL.
    Smile and enjoy you day.
    Over and out.
Must do some more market scanning for the next winner.

    Commercial break :
    - Don’t miss the spike in PGL & CYT.
    When?, can’t tell you.
Could be months away - but watch them.
Check the chart and do some DD.
    Cheers <:)
