Granted, s slight saving grace. Holding a free option is not the same as buying an option on market. This was only $4M, but including 75% free options imposes upside limits depending on how/when those option are then exercised.
It would be much better for PEK to not have them altogether.
What will a $250M funding deal look like if they did the same? (rhetorical). Calculate the total cost of this $4M funding as opposed to $4M on Libor plus 200bp (likely to be Roths funding costs).
If they handle $250M the same way, it will be bad for PEK shareholders. A word of caution on the fund providers, not PEK.
