    Having worked at Lihir Ballarat and known a number of the players at Citigold I have no doubt that the gold is there at both locations. Unfortunately gold in situ and gold in the ROM stockpile are not the same thing. I saw the massive amount of money that Lihir spent on diamond drilling metres but could never define an economic orebody. I doubt either mine could ever sustainably get to 50k oz pa.
