Early this morning EWC announced a placement of 200 milliion shares at 50c raising $100m. By my calculations after the conversion of options and the cash already held then EWC has $270m in cash and access to $30m of undrawn funds. With $300m available they will be able to cover all their new LNG projects on the funds available at the moment. Nothing to stop them pursuing the growth strategy outlined and much more.
What a remarkable transformation from a company only a year ago that was in difficulties with the CBA and how shortsighted was the CBA. I tried my best to inform everyone over the last few years that EWC was a real goer because of its Indonesian assets but
nobody wanted to listen. I'm glad I had the strength to ignore all the doomsayers and hold onto my shares.
