If you read my original post you will see that I said ownership of the company has been diluted and even in your post, while you talk of share value, you don't address the reduction in ownership. If you wish to keep your ownership of the company at the same percentage as before you need to buy the equivalent of your original holding. I also understand that some seem to think that the market cap has some relationship to the net value of a company. The market cap is a daily variable so in your example the market cap could change by 50% in one day. As far as I am concerned my dilution in ownership is far more relevant than a daily variable! My education is fine thanks and lucky you were not involved in it perhaps I should typed the last part of my post very slowly!
