I was just browsing the recent AGO presentation and they have some nice diagrams of their proposed future operations involving a proposed third party rail line to be built by QRN. They have signed a binding MOU with QRN so it's not set in stone but it appears to be likely to go ahead.
Anyway... The proposed QRN rail swings right by Marillana and Yandicoogina, there is no scale on the diagram but it couldn't be more than 50Km-100Km from Iron Valley.
Seeing as this binding MOU is a fairly recent development I wonder if IOH management are kicking themselves a little... The QRN rail could have been a neat transport solution to get producing out of Iron Valley although the rail leads to Port Hedland so port allocation could still be an issue.
I think we have a viable plan B available for Iron Valley if FMG decline the option to mine it themselves.
