Ni is artificially inflated atm. Cobalt is artificially deflated though due to the long tail of Chinese stockpiling in 2017-18

once real demand increases flow back through the supply chain it’s game on. 3-6 months is my best guess for consistent demand pick up pending any outrageous disasters with the global economy.

the 3 and 15 month supply contracts for cobalt have been permanently set at a 3% and 11% premium respectively for the last 2 months.

I’m inclined to agree with silent bubbles again on SK’s reasoning for not jumping in. They’d be over extending themselves whilst currently under performing on something the don’t desperately need to do for another 6-12 months. I think it will prove short sighted. Very possibly might enter the ring again in a couple of months but they’ll find themselves in company with much greater competitive tension .
