Pile, you raise an interesting point when you mention GGP selling all or part of the PB.
It has been discussed before but to me has real merit.
However, I have wondered the same about many successful small cap oilers that had stellar years last year (AUT, SEA, EKA and TXN). Why have they not been bought out?
As I've stated before, GGP needs to determine whether or not they are explorers/developers or are they producers. (TXN are currently going through this).
Once the initial 10 wells are found to be successful (speculation)then obviously company value of assetts will be greater than it has ever been. By selling all or some, management could use funds for many things like R&D or a share buy-back plan reducing some of the dillution that is choking this company.
Anyway, this is a long way down the track and many bridges to cross first.
Have been reading the comments on oppies with great interest. It's been a good debate.
My 2 cents. I think there is a window of opportunity for the next 2 months for some nice trades (similar to the heads), but once into the new year they would become risky.
Good luck to all holders. Looking forward to December.
