AUSTRALIAN companies have been told to get serious on their travel safety policies amid concerns that lessons have not been learnt from last year's Sundance Resources tragedy.
The ASX-listed Sundance Resources lost its entire board of directors in a fatal plane crash in West Africa and its new chairman, George Jones, said all companies should be implementing nothing less than a ''two-plane'' policy to ensure the incident was not repeated.
Speaking almost one year since the crash, Mr Jones said some companies were still not bothering to take travel precautions and shareholders would have to drive the cultural change.
