PS The signs have been there for a while. Given the failing global economy, both appear to have decided there is little left for them in staying within the boundaries of the prosperity bought on by the peace and trade of the last 50 odd years.

the signs are there that both are actively pursuing 'lebensraum' and power projection just like the fascist Nazis.
Both are actively extending borders: South China Sea, Ukraine, Crimea...... Arctic, Antarctica.

And on that last, if Australia do not secede Australian Antarctic territory to china on demand, we will get a whole lot of whoopass.The 'paper cat' that we are.

I have been in the army for a couple of years in a war situation. I know what war smells like. This stinks of it.
