I'm not sure if it's been discussed on here before, but it's a Silicon Valley-based satellite imagery company, founded by ex-NASA scientists, that since 2017 has put enough satellites in space to image the earth every day.

A few things interest me about the company. First, google has taken an equity stake in the company. Second, I like their website and the way they have very clearly defined their products and markets. NEA do a reasonable job of this on their website, but I think they could do better. Third, I wonder whether Planet Labs and NEA could enter a partnership of sorts that could bundle the two products together for clients. Fourth, is it possible that camera technology could improve to the point where images from space could match or come close to the resolution provided by NEA? I'm guessing not, but interested to hear if anyone on here knows if that is a genuine risk to NEA's business or not. I certainly hope not.
