Just got off the phone to the head office in Subiaco and it sounds like everything is proceeding on schedule in relation to the construction of the new processing plant at Collie.
The main structure is complete and they are currently fitting out the building, etc. Should be ready for commissioning in Dec and actual production is due to commence in Jan '05.
I wasn't aware previously but they will getting all of the demineralized water they need from the adjacent Power Station and the salt water effluent produced during the extraction process will end up in the Ocean somewhere near Australind via a conveniently located drainage pipe near the Collie facility (presumably associated with the Power Station???).
CAU seem to be a real little sleeper...
