Plant upgrade delivers for Integra
Wednesday, 7 September 2011
PRODUCTION in the first month of operations at Integra Mining?s upgraded Salt Creek gold processing facility within its Randalls project in Western Australia has exceeded expectations, churning out 8873 ounces of the precious metal in August.
At its new rate of 1 million tonnes per annum, Randalls is scheduled to produce around 100,000ozpa at forecast cash costs of $A550/oz in the current financial year.
Last month a total of 80,910t of ore grading 3.64 grams per tonne of gold was treated at Salt Creek at average recovery rates of 93.7%.
This was despite an unplanned four day shutdown to replace a primary mill pinion gear bearing, boding well for even greater levels of efficiency through the facility.
A jump in reserves at the property to 6Mt at 2.5gpt gold for a contained 480,000oz, along with 1.4 years of stockpiled medium-grade ore, supports a six year mine life from open pit sources at Randalls.
However, this does not include any underground potential, but trial mining of this potential new ore source is set to start in the December quarter.
Shares in Integra were up 1.83%, or 1c, in morning trade to 55.5c.
