who says litter is just 1% plastic bags? what's your source my friend?
never did I say stop plastic bags totally (although that might be ideal) - what I am saying is there are alternatives out there that are compostable and bio-degradeable.
You don't need bags on your fruit and veg - it comes in nature's own packaging and you can just rinse it under the tap when you get home
