It seems that MLM can't win a trick (Scandium sale), however Rio has advised it's now looking at developing the South of Embley project to mine 22.5 million tons of bauxite. This project is still in the development stage. It seems that prospects for aluminium and hence bauxite are looking up again. If MLM can get it's project off the ground before Rio starts its mine then maybe they'll be ahead of the game for a change.
